AI Lesson 08
Graphic Design and Illustration with Adobe Illustrator
Graphic Design and Illustration with Adobe Illustrator
The results for the Photoshop exam were outstanding. We aim to achieve the same level of success, and of course, you do too. Adobe Illustrator is indeed a bit more challenging than Photoshop. This is not to scare you, but we'd rather be honest about it, right? Passing a test is also a team effort. Together, we know more. Use this lesson to go through the domains of Adobe Illustrator together, in pairs.
Each domain has a set of objectives and key aspects that you really need to know inside and out. Can't remember where the domains are listed? You can find them here!
Go through all the domains, objectives, and key aspects yourself. Take notes in your learning journal for each domain, jotting down at least four techniques, tools, words... that you find challenging. What on earth do they mean by Gestalt Theory? After twenty minutes, you should have left at least 5 x 4 notes on your Express Page. That's 20 in total.
Discuss key concepts, techniques, and tools within domains. Your teammate likely knows those things you're unsure about all too well. Demonstrate it to each other and take screenshots. Place those screenshots with annotations in your learning journal.
If you're still puzzled together, don't hesitate to ask your teacher! They're there for a reason, or seek solutions through Google, YouTube tutorials, etc. Leave the lesson after two hours with the knowledge that you can do it!
Ultimately, your Learning Journal will contain a lot of information about your entire process of completing the previous lessons. Your last 20 question marks from this lesson and, of course, your certificate for viewing the entire series of lessons on LinkedIn Learning.
This lesson emphasizes collaboration and peer-to-peer teaching as effective methods to deepen your understanding of Adobe Illustrator and prepare you for the certification exam. It promotes critical thinking and active engagement in your learning process. Only in this way, with the final serious steps, can you be sure you're not missing anything. And when you feel confident and assured... you'll approach the exam much more relaxed. Good luck!
